If you are new to the series, I would recommend starting with Hunter x Hunter 2011. This version is a remake of the original series and covers more of the manga's story, with updated animation and pacing. It also includes the Chimera Ant arc, which is not covered in the original series. However, if you are a fan of the original and want to see a different take on the story, you can also watch the original Hunter x Hunter. Both versions have their own unique charm and are worth watching for fans of the series. **

Killua is tortured at home in Hunter x Hunter because his family, the Zoldycks, are a family of assassins who believe in conditioning their children to become ruthless killers. They subject Killua to intense physical and mental training, as well as torture, in order to toughen him up and prepare him for a life of assassination. The Zoldycks see this as necessary to maintain their family's reputation and power in the underworld. Killua's upbringing and the abuse he suffers at the hands of his family are a significant part of his character development and his journey to break free from their influence. **

The choice between a field hunter and a hunter depends on personal preference and the type of riding you enjoy. Field hunters are typically used for fox hunting and are bred for their stamina, agility, and bravery in the field. Hunters, on the other hand, are more commonly used for show jumping and hunter classes, where they are judged on their movement, form, and manners. Ultimately, the decision between a field hunter and a hunter should be based on your riding goals and the type of riding you enjoy. **

Both versions of Hunter x Hunter have their own strengths and appeal to different audiences. The original Hunter x Hunter anime, which aired in 1999, has a more classic art style and follows the manga closely. On the other hand, Hunter x Hunter 2011 has updated animation and covers more of the manga's story, including the Chimera Ant arc. Ultimately, the choice between the two comes down to personal preference, with some fans preferring the original for its nostalgia and others favoring the 2011 version for its more comprehensive adaptation. **
