Yes, corpses can float. When a person dies, their body becomes buoyant due to the gases produced during decomposition. This can cause the body to rise to the surface of the water and float. However, the specific circumstances of the death and the condition of the body can also affect whether it will float or sink. **

Corpses are typically buried in cemeteries or other designated burial grounds. The body is placed in a casket or coffin, which is then lowered into the ground. A grave is dug to accommodate the casket, and then the earth is filled back in to cover the grave. In some cultures, the body may be wrapped in a shroud instead of being placed in a casket. The burial process is often accompanied by religious or cultural rituals and ceremonies to honor the deceased. **

Living corpses are a concept often found in folklore and horror fiction. They are typically depicted as reanimated corpses that retain some semblance of life, often driven by a malevolent force or a desire for revenge. In some stories, living corpses may exhibit limited intelligence and the ability to move and interact with the living, while in others they may be mindless and driven solely by instinct. The idea of living corpses has been a popular trope in literature, film, and other forms of media, often serving as a source of fear and fascination. **

Corpses have a distinct smell that is often described as a combination of rotting flesh, decay, and a sweet, sickly odor. The smell is caused by the breakdown of tissues and the release of gases such as cadaverine and putrescine. The scent can be overpowering and difficult to mask, even with embalming or other preservation methods. The smell of a corpse is often associated with death and decay, and can be quite unsettling for those who encounter it. **

Corpses are buried as a way to dispose of the body in a respectful and dignified manner. It is also a way to prevent the spread of disease and to protect the living from potential health hazards. Additionally, burial is often a cultural and religious practice that provides closure for the family and loved ones of the deceased. When a person dies, the body's cells begin to break down and release enzymes that cause the body to decompose. One of the byproducts of this decomposition is the formation of a compound called melanoidin, which gives the skin a black or dark brown color. This process is part of the natural decomposition of the body and is influenced by factors such as the environment, temperature, and the presence of bacteria and other microorganisms. Ultimately, the blackening of a corpse is a result of the chemical changes that occur during the decomposition process. **

Dogs have been known to dig up corpses, particularly if they have a strong sense of smell and are attracted to the scent of decay. This behavior is more common in wild or feral dogs, but domestic dogs have also been known to exhibit this behavior. It is important to properly bury deceased animals and take precautions to prevent dogs from accessing burial sites to avoid this behavior. **
